All are welcome to come as they are and join us in worship on Sunday Mornings. Following the example of Jesus Christ, we strive to bring everyday life into our times of worship so that worship will go out into our everyday lives. We offer two styles of services: traditional and contemporary; and there is a nursery with paid staff members and trained volunteers ready to watch your young ones. We also offer Sunday School during our 9:00 and 10:30am services for children, and a Jr. High Sunday School during the school year at 9am. You are of course welcome to bring your kids with you in to any of the services- there is a cry room in the sanctuary if it is needed, and rocking chairs in the back of the fellowship hall. We look forward worshiping with you, and invite you to contact the office if you have any questions about our Sunday morning services.
We offer a Tuesday Evening Service at 7pm in the Sanctuary. Tuesday evenings are a casual traditional-style service, and we invite all to join us and come as you are.
In our traditional service, we worship in a warm, intimate sanctuary surrounded by beautiful stained glass. We follow a consistent liturgy (order of worship) appropriate to each Sunday’s theme.
We sing classic and contemporary hymns to a pipe organ and piano. Music at our traditional service is led by our chancel choir. We feature an agape choir once a month as well. We also have a bell choir. If you are interested in participating in any of our traditional music programs, contact the office to be put in touch with our Music Director Vicki Rich.
The clergy typically wear robes in this service. Congregational dress ranges from casual to semi-formal. All are welcome to come as they are.
Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. You do not need to be a member of Riverside or the United Methodist Church to receive the bread and the cup. (We use grape juice and offer gluten free wafers for all services)
Our contemporary service offers a more relaxed atmosphere in our spacious fellowship hall. Services include music, prayer, a time for offerings and announcements, and a powerful message from one of our two pastors.
We sing praise songs led by several different bands made up of volunteers from the church. Anyone is welcome to join a praise band- we love having new singers and musicians! The words to each song are projected on the wall so that all can sing along in worship.
The clergy do not wear their robes for this service, and congregational dress ranges from very casual to semi-formal. All are welcome to come dressed however you are comfortable.
We also celebrate communion in our Contemporary Service, and it is open to anyone who would like to join in the sacrament. You do not have to be a member of Riverside or the United Methodist Church. We use grape juice and have a gluten free option in all services.
